Comedy night for Coolaney, Co.Sligo
Sligo Comedy Club will be returning to Coolaney and Cafe Fia this Friday (20th Oct at 8pm)
Ninety minutes of messing will bring one of the best Irish live comedy acts in the form of Headliner Stephen ‘cowboy’ Lavin. He’s a comic who needs no introduction, but if you’ve never been on TicToc or watched ‘The Hardy Bucks’ then expect some wild western Irish humour. He will be supported by five local comics and two MC’s.
The night will kick off with New York’s Jay Starliper -expect some wild improvised messing to get the ball rolling.
First act of the night will be Philip Steels -expect Sligo style standup.
Dara McKenna is next up with some jokes from the rebel county -expect observations on everything from autism to murder documentaries.
Finishing off the first half will be Brian Sexton -expect some interdimensional Sci-Fi messing.
Terry Markey will start the second half. Terry is one of the best standup acts working on the Irish scene and will be bringing some unique observations on middle age.
First act of the second half will be local Coolaney man Joe Fogarty. Expect some observations on modern life, regional radio and a look at the real reason behind the geography of Ireland.
Following Joe will be Sligo’s queen of the one liners Heidi Stemp. Expect to hear the best of local one liners and some very very blue gags to set up the one and only Stephen Lavin for a headline set,
There are about a dozen tickets left. They cost ten euro from eventbrite. (18+ BYOB)
